Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has promised fans he will continue his outstanding form and improve his skills to help the club achieve its goals, earning a new contract until June 2033.

Palmer scored 25 goals and provided 15 assists in 45 appearances in his first season with the Blues after joining from Manchester City for £42.5m.

“I’m excited about the new season,” the 22-year-old said.

“Personally, it’s particularly exciting when the Premier League returns. We head into the new season with great spirit, excitement about the new boss, the team, and really looking forward to it.”

“The team is full of great talent and I’m excited to be a part of it. You have a great group of guys and that’s what you need. Surrounding yourself with great people makes you grow.”

“I want to say two or three words to the Chelsea fans because they have been so good to me and it cannot go unmentioned.”

“I would like to thank all our fans for the love and support you have shown me since I stepped foot in the club doors and signed my contract.”
